RED FLAG FIRE DANGER FOR SOUTH FLORIDA

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT FOR  
ALL OF SOUTH FLORIDA...

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect until midnight EST tonight. 

* Affected area...fire weather zones 063...066...067...068... 
069...070...071...072...073...074...075...168...172...173 and 
174. 

* Wind...East winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Humidity...Around 40% to 50% for this afternoon. 

* Energy release component (ERC)...The Florida Forest Service has
determined that the fuel status supports a Red Flag Warning for
this afternoon. 

* Highest threat...is located over western Broward, western Palm
Beach, western Miami Dade, all Collier, Glades and Hendry and 
northern mainland Monroe Counties.

* Impacts...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
