SUB-TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE EXPECTED TO MERGE AND DISSIPATE ON THURSDAY

A STRONG EXTRA-TROPICAL LOW TRACKING EAST TOWARD SUB-TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE WILL ABSORB THE DEPRESSION ON THURSDAY.  THE EXTRA-TROPICAL SYSTEM COULD STRENGTHEN SOME AS IT TRACKS OUT OVER THE NORTH ATLANTIC.  ONLY A THREAT TO SHIPPING.

THIS MORNING INVEST 91L STARTED RAPPING THUNDERSTORMS AROUND THE CENTER OF CIRCULATION AND WINDS INCREASING TO DEPRESSION STRENGTH.  THIS PROMPTED THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER TO GIVE THE INVEST A SUB-TROPICAL DEPRESSION STATUS.

THIS SYSTEM WILL BE SHORT LIVED AS IT MERGES WITH AN EXTRA-TROPICAL LOW TO THE WEST NORTHWEST OF SUB-TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE'S PRESENT POSITION.
