TROPICAL UPDATE JUNE 2 2017 1053 AM EDT

Beatriz downgraded to a remnant low.  As for the models that were suggesting tropical cyclone headed for Florida and crying wolf they are now suggesting just rain headed this way the next few days.  I would say off and on rains, and thunderstorms.  I will continue to monitor this system just in case it does decide to develop in the Bay of Campeche.  You can find the last model run for this system by clicking at top "Ralph's Storm Track Maps".  http://ralphstropicalweather.myfreesites.net

Sorry for any inconvenience this free site link may bring some of you.  Some servers think it is spam or malware because of the "freesites.net" at the end of it.  I have only received a $10 donation and that is not enough to make this site a .com and eliminate this problem plus remove banner at the bottom of web page.  So if any of you want to help out it will greatly be appreciated...RTW

BEATRIZ MAKES LANDFALL OVER SOUTHERN MEXICO

BEATRIZ MAKES LANDFALL OVER SOUTHERN MEXICO WEST OF PUERTO ANGEL AROUND 0000 UTC.

BEATRIZ IS PRODUCING PLENTY OF MOISTURE TO THE NORTHWEST OF THE CIRCULATION OFF THE WEST COAST OF THE YUCATAN PENINSULA AND NORTH THERE.  THIS MOISTURE WILL EVENTUALLY MAKE ITS WAY TO THE NORTHEAST AND EAT NORTH EAST BRINGING RAINS AND STORMS TO FLORIDA.  WILL HAVE TO MONITOR THE REMNANTS OF BEATRIZ IF IT DOES SURVIVE THE TRAVEL NORTHWARD ACROSS MEXICO AND INTO THE BAY OF CAMPECHE.

THE SPAGHETTI MODEL MAP HAS BEEN UPDATED AT RALPH'S STORM TRACK MAPS...RTW

TROPICAL UPDATE JUNE 1 2017 0329 PM EDT

Tropical Beatriz forms from Tropical Depression 2-E off the Southern Mexican coast in the East Pacific.

We still see the Canadian model suggesting development and a track toward the east-northeast now and this may be over doing it a bit but this model suggest another low coming from the Yucatan Peninsula.  We now have the EURO model as well which is a more reliable model and that model has a more northeasterly track.  NHC calls for dissipation of this system over the mountainous terrain of Southern Mexico.  However, if the low survives the tracks over land and moves into the BOC (Bay of Campeche) or southern Gulf of Mexico, we could see redevelopment of this system.  So as for now we watch during the next few days and continue to monitor model runs...RTW
