SORRY FOR NO UPDATES SATURDAY, AND TODAY JULY 22, 2017

I spent most of the day at the ICU unit with my Sister and family.  My nephew has been battling brain cancer for over a year now and took a turn for the worst.  After fighting a hard battle to kill off this dreadful disease he lost it this morning Sunday 22, 2017 at 0620 PM EDT.

He left behind his loving wife and two small loving sons who he adored.  Sergio would of turn 34 this October, but now he is a new warrior Angel in Heaven.  God rest his sole we will miss you Sergio Hernandez.

I will resume my updates tomorrow Monday 24, 2017.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK JULY 21, 2017 0359 PM EDT

Not much change in this forecast!

RTW:  Ralph's Tropical Weather

1. Strong wave over Africa moving off the coast of Africa but non of the models are suggesting development at this time...RTW

2. A tropical wave near 57°W is producing showers and storms to the west of the northern axis of the wave.  This activity is whats left of 96L...RTW

3. Cloudiness, showers and thunderstorm persist of the Bahamas, Florida and now the Gulf waters.  This is due to the interaction between two upper level lows and a trough along the east coast and north Gulf.  We are sandwiched in between these two systems and this will enhance the rain and storm chances today and early night.  Showers and storms should relaxing later this evening as the surface cools a bit but still a chance for redevelopment of showers and storms...

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK JULY 20, 2017 0505 PM EDT

RTW:  Ralph's Tropical Weather

1. Strong wave over Africa near 15°W and 12°N tracking west.  Will have to watch this one as it moves off the coast in the coming days...RTW

2. A tropical wave and 1013 mb low pressure is whats left of 96L.  This system continues to have a cluster of showers and storms to the northwest of the low as it tracks west to a west-northwest. This wave is still moving through Sahara dry air and dust but the area of dust seems to be less than it was before.  This may bring showers and squally conditions to the Leeward Islands in a day or two...RTW

3. An area of Cloudiness, showers and thunderstorm that off the Florida east coast. Is due to a trough that is presently interacting with that pesky middle to upper level low that moved north and has moved back south between 70°W-75°W and 21°N-22°N.  pressure are not dropping and there are no signs of tropical cyclone formation at this time.  However, this is enhancing showers and thunderstorms over a portion of Florida and the Bahamas.  This could lessen some over night as it looses some of the day time heat...RTW

Elsewhere tropical cyclone is not expected through Friday...RTW

ACTIVE AUGUST, SEPTMEBER MAY BE OCTOBER AHEAD?

Rainfall in western Sahel has generally been above-average over the past month - often a harbinger of an active Atlantic hurricane season

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK JULY 20, 2017 1110 AM EDT

The tropics remains quiet for now. NHC stop posting on 96L but it is still being watched.  Sahara dry air and dust in the area not favorable for development at this time.  Also models have dropped it as well.  An area of showers and storms near 50°W and 15°N is still holding together so I will continue to watch it.  Other than that all is quiet.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK JULY 19 2017 0453 PM EDT

The tropics remain quiet for now.  As for INVEST 96L they have not released another model run for this system at this time.  However, I noticed that there has been a burst of convection (thunderstorms) with this system, and if this trend continues then slow development is possible tonight and tomorrow.  This maybe a temporary burst of thunderstorms so I will continue to monitor it.  As for now there is no tropical cyclone threat.
