There are currently three tropical waves moving across the Atlantic Basin, and none are showing signs of tropical cyclone development at this time. Tropical cyclone formation is not anticipated anywhere in the basin over the next seven days.

Meanwhile, an area of disturbed weather over the Gulf of America is contributing to increased shower and thunderstorm activity across Florida. A frontal boundary advancing southward and westward is interacting with this deep tropical moisture, resulting in widespread heavy rainfall across portions of the Southeast coast and inland metropolitan areas.
Heavy downpours associated with stronger thunderstorm cells may lead to localized flooding, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone locations. In addition to torrential rainfall, the strongest storms may produce gusty winds, frequent lightning, and small hail.
Remain weather-aware and monitor local forecasts for any watches, warnings, or advisories that may be issued.
