AIR FORCE RECON FLYING MISSION INTO DORIAN FIND LOWER PRESSURE READINGS
AIR FORCE RECONNAISSANCE FLYING MISSION THIS EVENING INTO DORIAN HOWS FOUND LOWER BAROMETRIC PRESSURE 977 MB THAT EQUATES TO 104-105 MPH. PRESSURE WAS HIGHER DURING THE 5 PM ADVISORY WITH WINDS OF 85 MPH.
LATEST SATELLITE SHOWS LESS RESTRICTION TO THE OUTFLOW CLOUDS, HOWEVER, THERE IS SOME RESTRICTION OF CLOUDS ALONG THE INFLOW IN THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF THE STORM. THIS IS DUE TO SOUTHERLY SHEAR FROM THE CARIBBEAN. REGARDLESS OF THAT AND STILL SOME AFRICAN DUST DORIAN IS GRADUALLY INTENSIFYING. IF YOU REMEMBER IN LAST NIGHT POST I MENTIONED DORIAN WOULD ENCOUNTER AN OBSTACLE DURING ITS TRACK NORTHWEST TODAY AND IT SURE HAS JUST THAT BUT IT SEEMS TO BE OVER COMING THAT OBSTACLE.
THE BAHAMAS WILL REQUIRE HURRICANE WATCH BY TOMORROW AND BE PREPARED FOR LIFE-THREATENING STORM SURGE AS THE CYCLONE MAKES ITS TURN WESTWARD IN TIME.
