H. DORIAN UPDATE

H. DORIAN UPDATE

DORIAN STRENGTHEN A BIT MORE WITH 110 MPH.  IT SEEMS THAT THE ATLANTIC HIGH HAS MOVED SLIGHTLY EAST DUE TO A STATIONARY FRONT ALONG THE EAST COAST AND THIS HAS HELP TO SLOW DOWN THE FORWARD SPEED OF DORIAN.  SLOW STORM COULD BE BAD AND COULD BE GOOD.

  1. BAD BECAUSE A SLOWER MOVING STORM IT HAS MORE CHANCE TO STRENGTHEN, AND ALSO AT LANDFALL THAT CAN BE DESTRUCTIVE ALONG THE COAST AND ALSO AS IT MOVES INLAND.
  2. GOOD BECAUSE THE SLOWER THE STORM THE MORE TIME FOR WEATHER SYSTEMS COMING FROM THE WEST TO HELP STEER THE STORM NORTHWARD OVER THE OCEAN OR OFFSHORE THE COAST.  SO LETS HOPE FOR NUMBER#2.
