Ralph's Tropical Weather- RTW
1. A westward moving tropical wave near 24°/23° west has numerous showers and storm along the central and southern axis of the wave that extends from the coast of Africa to 40° west and north of 10° north. This is partially due to the interaction between the wave and the monsoon trough in this area. The northern axis of this wave is under the influence of Sahara dust/ dry air.
2. A westward moving tropical wave near 43° west is void of convection (thunderstorms). Sahara dust is over the northern axis of the wave.
3. A westward moving tropical wave near 52°/50° west is also void of convection (thunderstorms). There is some lite Sahara dust and dry air in this area as well.
4. A westward moving tropical wave near 84°/83° west is interacting with an upper level low near Belize and a trough across southern Florida. This is enhancing numerous showers and storms that extends across the northwest Caribbean, Cuba and the Bahamas.
There are no signs of tropical cyclone formation at this time.
