Ralph's Tropical Weather- RTW
1. A new westward moving tropical wave near 15° west is about to move off the coast of Africa this evening. This wave has numerous strong to moderate shower and storms off shore and over Africa. This seems to be a fairly strong wave so I will monitor it as it moves across the Atlantic.
2. A westward moving tropical wave near 35° west has some showers and storms along the waves axis. There are no signs of tropical organization at this time.
3. A westward moving tropical wave near 61°/59° west is void of any showers and storms moving through a dry environment.
4. A westward moving tropical wave tropical wave near 94°/93° west has the northern axis of the wave over the southern Gulf and the southern axis over the East Pacific. There is strong to moderate showers and storm along both axis of the wave. This wave will be added to the East Pacific outlook and removed from the Atlantic outlook.
5. A disturbance over the Bahamas is being monitored for tropical cyclone formation as it tracks west to west-northwest toward Florida and the Southeast U.S. in the coming days. Formation chance through 48 hrs. is LOW 0% and through 5-days LOW 20%.
Another system not number because model are not hinting at development at this time is north-northeast of the north tip of the Yucatan. This swirl of low pressure is more than likely a middle to upper level low. I will continue to monitor since there are showers and storms redeveloping over the northwest Caribbean and over the Gulf waters as.
