TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Tropical Weather Outlook
Aug 12, 2019...1202 PM EDT
Ralph's Tropical Weather- RTW

1.  A westward moving tropical wave near 27°/26° west does not have much showers or storms associated.  Only showers and storms I see are east of the northern axis of the wave and west of the southern axis of the wave.  These showers are mainly associated with the Monsoon trough in this area.

2.  A westward moving tropical way near 44°/43° west has showers and storms along the southern axis of the wave mainly due to the interaction with the ITCZ (inter-tropical convergence Zone).  This waves environment is mainly dry due to Sahara Dust/Dry Air moving west with wave.

3.  A westward moving tropical wave near 68°/67° west is void of convection (thunderstorms) mainly due to Sahara dust/Dry Air.

4.  A westward moving tropical wave near 83°/82° west has some showers ans strong storms along the Southern axis of this wave, mainly due to an interaction with the monsoon trough in this area.

I will be monitoring the Northeast Gulf since the EURO model is hinting at weak development in this area Aug 17-22.  Although I won't be on Aug 13-16, I will pop in and post something from my cell phone when I get a chance.
