RTW TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A BRIEF LOOK AT THE TROPICS

1. A WESTWARD MOVING TROPICAL WAVE NEAR 57°-56° WEST VOID OF THUNDERSTORMS.  TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED.

2. A WESTWARD MOVING TROPICAL WAVE NEAR 84°-83° IS ALSO VOID OF THUNDERSTORMS AND THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION.

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER FLORIDA THAT PRODUCED HEAVY RAINS OVER THE WEEKEND IS BEING MONITORED THE HURRICANE CENTER.  THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE FOR DEVELOPMENT AT THIS TIME, BUT HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR PRODUCING HEAVY RAINS AND GUSTY WINDS.

I AM MONITORING THE EAST PACIFIC AND NORTHWEST CARIBBEAN FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRAVERSING OVER CENTRAL AMERICA INTO THE NORTHWEST CARIBBEAN, AND POSSIBLY DEVELOPING IN THE GULF OF MEXICO.  THE GFS MODEL CONTINUES TO INSIST ON SOMETHING DEVELOPING IN THIS REGION FIRST WEEK OF JUNE.  PLEASE NOT THIS IS ONLY A FORECAST AND IS ALWAYS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  THIS MAY NOT EVEN DEVELOP, BUT I WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR IT.
