...POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE ONE GRADUALLY MOVING AWAY FOR NORTHEAST COAST OF THE YUCATAN PENINSULA...

As PTC One moves away from the northeast coast of the Yucatan and over the open water of the Gulf we could see a bit more development.  Shear is no longer West to east but Southwest to northeast.  So it leaves a bit of room for PTC One to develop.  Depending on the track this will determine where the bulk of the rain will go.  Present track Cuba, Florida Straits and South Florida will get the bulk of the heavy rain and possible severe storms.  A track to the south will shift the heavy rains and storms to Cuba and the Florida Straits.  This will occur later tonight and Saturday morning.  Stay tune to updates from NHC and here on RTW.
