Other than the aggressive wave interacting with an upper level low south of Cuba the tropics are quiet for now.
A strong vertically tilted wave in the Central Caribbean is still producing heavy rains, storms and lightning over southern Dominican Republic and Haiti. An elongated upper level low south of Cuba is interacting with the wave and this is enhancing thunderstorms east of the waves axis that is vertically tilted southwest from the Caribbean northeast into the Atlantic; just east of the east Bahamas.
Another wave in the Atlantic is not associated with much storms at this time.
The Tropical Atlantic is storm free for now.
