NICOLE A TROPICAL STORM WITH A LARGE WIND FIELD 460 MILES WIDE ALREADY AFFECTING THE EAST COAST OF FLORIDA. SO FAR MIAMI DADE IS NOT IN THAT WIND FIELD AND THAT IS WHY WE ARE STILL UNDER A TROPICAL STORM WATCH AND NOT A WARNING.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS EVENING SOME GUSTY WIND SQUALL IN RAIN BANDS CAN BE EXPECTED AND SOME OF THE GUST COULD REACH TROPICAL STORM FORCE WITH STRONGER RAIN BANDS.
LANDFALL IS LOOKING TO BE EITHER SOUTH OF PORT ST. LUCIE OR NORTH OF THERE AS SEE IT AT THIS TIME, AND THAT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
NICOLE CONTINUES TO ORGANIZE AND IS FORECAST TO BECOME A LOWER END CAT 1 HURRICANE OR JUST STAY AS A STRONG TROPICAL STORM BEFORE LANDFALL.
NICOLE WILL BE MAKING LANDFALL AROUND HIGH TIDE SO MONITOR THE NHC WEBSITE FOR STORM SURGE INFORMATION. THOSE AREAS WITH MANDATORY EVACUATION RESIDENTS SHOULD BE OUT OF THE AREA BEFORE THIS EVENING.
