Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to rapidly intensify this afternoon across the watch area as an upper trough approaches. The strongest storms will pose a risk of hail and damaging wind gusts. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles west northwest of Melbourne FL to 45 miles south of West Palm Beach FL.
