Saharan dust and dry air still encompass most of the Atlantic, and tropical cyclone formation is not expected through the next seven days, according to the NHC. I am watching some disorganized showers and storms in the Bay of Campeche in the southern Gulf of Mexico; however, so far, none of the models are showing much in this area. Upper-level winds seem to be marginally favorable in this area.
