Not much to talk about; all remains quiet for now. The northern Gulf of America is unfavorable in the upper levels of the atmosphere, so tropical development is not expected there for now. The Atlantic is rather quiet for this time of season, but this is due to Sahara dust and dry air in some areas and unusually cooler sea surface temperatures.
Over the Eastern Gulf and Florida and the Bahamas, rain and storms persist due to stationary fronts and low pressure developing along these fronts. This pattern will be gradually changing in the coming week or so.
