I am Monitoring the northwest Caribbean near western Cuba for potential weak low pressure development. The majority of ensemble models suggest that a weak low may form near western Cuba or the Florida Straits and move north-northeastward along the east coast toward the Outer Banks of the Carolinas. This situation poses a coastal concern for the Carolinas, which have already experienced damage to seaside homes. Additionally, this system could potentially increase rain and storm chances for southern Florida as it approaches the Outer Banks.
