A few tornadoes possible Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Clusters of severe storms will continue to spread eastward from Mississippi into Alabama through the afternoon. The storm environment will support the potential for a couple of tornadoes and large hail with embedded rotating storms. * At 926 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Geismer, or near Gonzales, moving northeast at 40
mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Gonzales, St. Gabriel, Sorrento, French Settlement, Port Vincent,

was located over White Castle, or 8 miles southeast of Plaquemine,
moving east at 30 mph.
