Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms developing along and ahead of a convective
outflow boundary now advancing inland off the Gulf coast are
expected to increase in coverage and intensity across the interior
and eastern peninsula through this evening. Strongest activity may
be accompanied by severe wind gusts and hail, with some risk of a
tornado or two, mainly near Atlantic coastal areas.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 5 miles west of St
Augustine FL to 20 miles southeast of Fort Meyers FL. For a complete

WINDS GUSTING UP TO 30 MPHS OVER FLORIDA
The squeeze play between the Gulf system and the Atlantic High pressure is producing a strong pressure gradient over Florida. Winds are gusting to the 30s mph along both coast. Some areas with thunderstorms will see gust even higher. High profile vehicles traveling over bridges should use caution.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK SOUTH FLORIDA
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning for the Gulf Coast, western interior, and Lake Okeechobee regions. For the rest of South Florida there is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms late Wednesday into Thursday. Damaging winds, frequent lightning, and isolated large hail are the primary threats. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. The rip current risk is likely to increase to high levels Wednesday at the Gulf Coast beaches. Hazardous boating conditions are possible across the local waters Wednesday and Thursday. Isolated to thunderstorms are again possible across the region, especially during the afternoon and evening hours, Friday through Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Rip current risk may continue to be elevated for Atlantic beaches through midweek. Rip current risk may increase for the Gulf Coast beaches ahead of a cold front Wednesday. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted northern portions of South Florida in a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday into Thursday, and southern portions of South Florida in a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms as a cold front approaches the region. At the present time, damaging winds look to be the primary threat, although an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Interests in South Florida should continue to monitor the forecast closely over the coming days.
