SLIGHT CHANCE FOR STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS

Slight chance for strong to severe storms across the southeast today with the approach of another strong front.  Windy conditions ahead of the front persist due to the squeeze play between high in the Atlantic and the approaching front.  Both system pushing against each other is producing a strong pressure gragient over the Eastern Gulf and Florida.

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM EST this morning. 

* VISIBILITY...One quarter mile or less.

* IMPACTS...Sudden onset of low visibilities will create 
hazardous driving conditions. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LOWER KEYS IN MONROE AND MIDDLE
KEYS IN MONROE COUNTIES UNTIL 430 PM EST...

At 333 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a squall with embedded 
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 20 miles west of 
Northwest Cape Sable to 37 miles south of Boca Grande Key. The line 
was tracking east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 45 mph will be possible with these storms, and a 
few lightning strikes.

Locations impacted include...
Key West, Marathon, Bahia Honda Channel Bridge, Seven Mile Bridge,
East End Of Seven Mile Bridge, Big Coppitt Key, Boca Chica Channel
Bridge, Niles Channel Bridge, Spanish Harbor Channel Bridge and Boca
Chica.

This includes US 1 between mile markers 0 and 64. 

This squall is expected to reach Key West by 345 pm, then 
track up the Keys to Marathon around 500 pm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EST for
Florida.
