TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK JULY 19, 2019
Tropical Weather Outlook
July 19, 2019...1136 PM EDT
Ralph's Tropical Weather (RTW)
1. A westward moving tropical wave near 16°-15° West is about to move off the African coast. Strong to moderate convection (Thunderstorms) are just off the African coast to the west of the waves southern axis. Visible satellite shows a slight spin to the clouds, so their may be a weak low associated with this wave. Although we are not yet in that part of the season for African storms, if conditions become favorable a storm could still from off the coast or even further west as it tracks across the Atlantic. I will keep a close eye on it.
2. A westward moving tropical wave near 35°-34° West has some scattered isolated showers mainly associated with the Inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
3. A westward moving tropical wave near 48°-47° West also has some scattered isolated showers to the south of the waves axis.
4. A westward moving tropical wave near 64°-62° West has a strong to moderate cluster of showers and storms to the north of the waves axis and a smaller cluster south of Puerto Rico west of the Southern axis of the wave. If the Northern Cluster holds together it could bring squally showers and storms to the Bahamas and Florida over the weekend.
5. A westward moving tropical wave near 78°-77 West has some isolated shower and storms to the west of the waves northern axis.
There are no signs of tropical cyclone formation at this time.
