STORM INVESTIGATION (TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IN THE GULF OF MEXICO)
SEPT 16, 2019...1237 PM EDT
RALPH'S TROPICAL WEATHER- RTW

I BEEN MONITORING MODELS AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS WITH THIS UPPER LEVEL/ TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE THAT HAS BEEN CRAWLING CLOSER THE TEXAS COAST.  THE EURO MODEL SHOW A POSSIBLE WEAK DEPRESSION OR POSSIBLY OR LOWER LEVEL TROPICAL STORM MOVING ON SHOW THE TEXAS COAST.  SOME OF

THE OFF SHORE BUOYS HAVE BEEN REPORTING WIND GUST WITHIN TROPICAL DEPRESSION AND TROPICAL STORM THRESHOLD.  HOWEVER, THESE ARE WIND GUST NOT SUSTAIN WINDS.  SO THESE COULD BE RELATED TO THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS WEATHER SYSTEM.

REGARDLESS OF A DEPRESSION OR TROPICAL STORM, THIS DISTURBANCE IS ACCOMPANIED BY PLENTY OF HEAVY RAINFALL AND DAY 1-3 RAINFALL OUTLOOK SHOWS THE POSSIBILITY OF SIX PLUS INCHES OF RAIN AS THIS SYSTEM MOVES ON SHORE.  CONTINUE TO MONITOR LOCAL WEATHER FOR FLOOD ADVISORIES.

RTW
DAY 1-3 (72 HOURS) EXCESSIVE RAINFALL OUTLOOK
6 PLUS INCHES OF RAIFALL DAY 1-3
WIND GUST FROM 30 TO 45 MPH
PLENTY OF LIGHTNING
