RTW TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
1. A WESTWARD MOVING TROPICAL WAVE NEAR 66°/65° WEST SEEMS TO BE INTERACTING WITH A SURFACE TROUGH ALONG THE NORTHERN AXIS OF THE WAVE. THERE ARE SOME MODERATE TO STRONG SHOWERS AND STORMS NORTHEAST OF PUERTO RICO AND OVER THE VIRGIN ISLANDS. THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION AT THIS TIME.
2. A WESTWARD MOVING TROPICAL WAVE NEAR 92°/91° WEST IS INTERACTING WITH THE MONSOON TROUGH IN THE EAST PACIFIC ALONG THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE WAVES AXIS. LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO FORM AND TRACK NORTH OVER CENTRAL AMERICA IN THE COMING DAYS, PRODUCING HEAVY RAINS OVER CENTRAL AMERICA WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR LIFE THREATENING FLASH FLOODS IN THIS REGION.
I AM ALSO STILL MONITORING THE EAST PACIFIC SOUTH OF CENTRAL AMERICA, THE SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN FOR DEVELOPMENT DURING THE FIRST AND SECOND WEEK OF JUNE. THE GFS AND CMC MODEL ARE STILL INSISTING ON DEVELOPMENT.
