...EIGHTEEN NOW TROPICAL STORM SAM COULD BE NEXT MAJOR HURRICANE...

TROPICAL DEPRESSION 18 IS NOW TROPICAL STORM SAM.  THIS STORM SYSTEM HAS PLENTY OF WARM WATERS TO MOVE THROUGH AND WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BECOME THE NEXT MAJOR HURRICANE.

I BEEN MONITORING THE MODELS THE PAST FEW DAYS AND THE EURO CONTINUES TO SHIFT BETWEEN A WESTWARD TRACK NORTH OF THE LEEWARD TO A TURN NORTH AS TROUGHS ROLL OFF THE EAST COAST OF U.S..

THE GFS CONTINUES TO SHOW THAT SAM WILL BE TURNED NORTH AWAY FROM THE NORTHERN LEEWARD BY STRONG UPPER LEVEL TROUGH/ COLD FRONT AMONGST OTHER MODELS SUGGESTING THE SAME.  HOWEVER, WE CAN'T RULE OUT THE EURO'S FURTHER WEST TRACK AND WE MUST MONITOR.

Just remember allot can happen and these models will continue to change.

In this EURO model run the blue is low pressure and the low over the eastern U.S. is that trough that has been forecast to influence Sam.  However, in this run the trough does not seem to push off shore and allows Sam to come a bit more west slightly turning the storm toward the Bahamas as a major storm.
