...A LOOK AT ENVIRONMENT SURROUNDING THE TROPICAL WAVE AND AHEAD OF THE WAVE

 

Let's take a look and the environment around the tropical wave and ahead of wave at present time.

  • Sahara dust is present west of the Cabo Verde Islands.  This could inhibit some development as it tracks westward.  There are some areas with lite dust, at this time.  This dust will more than likely become less dusty in the week to come.
  • Wind shear is favorable where the wave is presently located and further west.  The East Caribbean has strong shear and this extended northeast over the north Atlantic.  The Gulf of Mexico is looking shear free at this time.
  •  The Sea Surface temps are favorable throughout at this time and should remain this way during the week to come.
