The strong wave that moved off the African coast last night is being picked up by Euro Ensemble and the GEM/CMC (Canadian) model.
At this time the wave seems to have plenty of moisture associated with the it and seems to have a slight rotation in the clouds. West of the Cabo Verde Islands Sahara dust and dry air is present so development in that area is less likely. Further South along the inter-tropical convergence zone, their seems to be more moisture and this could help this system hold together as it tracks further west. I will monitor it closely.
