..PHILIPPE STILL TRACKING SLOWLY WEST.. ..OCT. 2, 2023 11:00 AM EDT..

Philippe is still in a weak steering environment and continues to move slowly westward toward the northern Leeward Islands. The National Hurricane Center has issued a tropical storm watch for the island of Antigua and a tropical storm warning for the island of Barbuda. Tropical storm force winds and heavy rains are possible over Barbuda later today, and flash flooding is also possible. Other islands in the Northern Leeward Islands should monitor advisories from the National Hurricane Center.

Models are still showing that northward turn, but since there is too much going on to the north of Philippe, it won't be happening anytime soon until the next trough moves off shore along the east coast.
