Erin has 60 mph winds, and its forward motion is down to 17 mph. This means that gradual strengthening can occur during the next 24 hours. Erin is forecast to become a hurricane on Friday, if not before.
Not much change to the NHC forecast track, and Erin may be already beginning to track slightly north of due west. The northern Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico should continue monitoring the progress of Erin.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
