The tropics have quiet down since Erin came in and stole most of the energy for tropical development. The only system being monitored is Tropical Storm Fernand over the open water of the Atlantic.
I am not going to discuss long range forecast because most of it is meaningless. So far we are in a lull until the next development occurs possibly in September. Sahara dust over the Cabo Verde Islands and increasing shear off the African coast and parts of the central Atlantic will suppress development for now.
I will post another update here and on Facebook if I begin to see possibilities of tropical cyclone formation.

Los trópicos se han calmado desde que Erin llegó y robó la mayor parte de la energía para el desarrollo tropical. El único sistema que se monitorea es la tormenta tropical Fernand sobre aguas abiertas del Atlántico.
No voy a comentar los pronósticos a largo plazo porque la mayoría son irrelevantes. Hasta ahora, estamos en calma hasta que se produzca el próximo desarrollo, posiblemente en septiembre.
El polvo del Sahara sobre las islas de Cabo Verde y el aumento de la cizalladura frente a la costa africana y partes del Atlántico central frenarán el desarrollo por ahora.
Publicaré otra actualización aquí y en Facebook si empiezo a ver posibilidades de formación de ciclón tropical.
