MONITORING A SURFACE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IN THE WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO
I am monitoring a an area of disturbed weather with numerous showers and thunderstorms in the western Gulf of Mexico. This area of disturbed weather is associated with a surface trough of low pressure. The disturbance is forecast to track northward toward the northeast Texas then turn east over Louisiana. This is just a forecast and not set in stone and it may not even develop, but being that there is plenty of convective (thunderstorms) activity I will continue to monitor and give you all a heads up.
