STORM INVEST OFF THE TEXAS LOUISISANA COAST UPDATE

STORM INVESTIGATION TEXAS LOUISIANA COAST
0153 PM EDT...AUG 24, 2019
RALPH'S TROPICAL WEATHER- RTW

A LOW PRESSURE AREA OFF THE TEXAS/ LOUISIANA COAST I BEEN MONITORING SINCE  MODELS HAVE BEEN HINTING AT A WEAK LOW MOVING UP INTO THIS AREA SINCE THE START OF THIS WEAK HAS FINALLY MATERIALIZED.

BEING THAT THIS LOW IS SO CLOSE TO THE COAST THE CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT ARE LOW, HOWEVER THIS SYSTEM HAS PLENTY OF RAIN AND LIGHTNING.

HOWEVER, ONE THING I HAVE NOTICED ABOUT THIS PERSISTENT AREA OF SHOWERS AND STORMS THAT GRADUALLY MIGRATED NORTHWARD IS, THAT WHEN IT LOOSES THE SURFACE HEAT FROM THE SUN STORMS BEGIN TO DIMINISH OVER NIGHT.  IF THIS WERE TO HOLD TOGETHER AND MOVE INLAND IT COULD BE A FLASH FLOOD POTENTIAL FOR A PORTION OF EASTERN TEXAS AND LOUISIANA.

BUOY AND SHIP OBSERVATIONS IN THIS AREA DO NOT SHOW ANY SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT.
